'French Bulldogs have a lot of health problems. We would know. Ted is the poster child of broken French Bulldogs. But it\'s ok, he\'s cute. Ted has dealt with allergies starting around age three. We began treating his black skin, hives, inflamed paws etc when we lived in Los Angeles with a dog dermatologist. As we began the process of sorting through what Ted was allergic to, we found out we were moving to Canada. We were able to successfully treat Ted\'s hives and skin through a new dry food diet of Taste of the Wild - Pacific Salmon. We also use a medicated shampoo for all dog baths and began routine Epsom salt soaks on his paws once a week. After moving to Canada, Ted\'s condition was stable. No new hives or fur loss. We experienced inflamed paws and black skin on occasion, which seems to come and go depending on the weather. This summer Ted started losing his hair - a new symptom we have never seen before. As it progressively got worse we sought advice from our vet. He deemed it just a cosmetic issue and nothing could be done. We had been told by other Frenchie owners how beneficial raw diets are for dogs with allergies, and opted to consult a pet food store to see what it was all about. The shop is around the corner, so we brought Ted in and spoke with the owner. One hour later we were walking out of the store with some test samples, and began our raw food journey. Check back in next month for our 6 month update! Note: We consulted our vet and he approved the diet. The portion size shown in the video is just a sample size to test for reactions. If they didn\'t develop hives within 24 hours, we could up their serving size to a much larger portion. Ted has a lot of issues. We try our best to treat each one. If you are considering making a French Bulldog a member of your family, not all Frenchies are created equal. Bill has zero problems, Ted has every single problem.
