'Easy small onion chutney for idli dosa / chinna vengaya chutney without tomato and coconut for idli dosa. #Shorts Please check this link for detailed recipe with step by step pictures https://www.chitrasfoodbook.com/2020/11/chinna-vengaya-chutney-for-idli-small.html INGREDIENTS Small onion - 25 Garlic cloves - 5 Red chilli - 4 or 6 Cooking oil – 2 tbsp Tamarind - Small piece Salt & water - as needed To Temper Gingely oil - 1 tbsp Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp Urad dal - 1 tsp Curry leaves - Few HOW TO MAKE SMALL ONION CHUTNEY Wash and peel small onion, garlic. Heat oil in a kadai. Saute onion, garlic and red chilli. Saute for a minute. Lastly add tamarind, salt and saute till onion turns transparent Switch off the flame. Cool and grind everything to a smooth paste. Temper mustard seeds, urad dal and curry leaves in gingely oil. Add to chutney. Mix well and serve with idli dosa !
