'In this video we are discussing and introducing you to the idea of feeding your dog a BARF (Biologically Appropriate Raw Food) Diet. Food plays a major role in our lives with regard to health and wellness, yet many people don\'t realise just how important this is for our dogs (and cats). It\'s indoctrinated into us by slick marketing as well as Breeders & Vets alike that refined and processed dry dog food is a complete and balanced meal for our dogs when in fact nothing could be further from the truth. Most commercial dry dog foods, even the so called \'premium\' brands, are nothing more than the equivalent of \'junk food\' to our dogs. They are manufactured (for the most part) with poor quality ingredients that are generally the discarded or left over components of human grade food manufacturing and abattoir left overs. Pictures of chicken legs along with images of corn and peas (since when are these kinds of grains and legumes biologically appropriate for a dog) give them impression of a healthy and balanced meal. But the reality is that it is generally these foods \'by products\' that actually end up in your dogs food. When you look at the listed ingredients on these foods you will often notice the words \'meat by products\' and \'cereal by products\'. If they don\'t list what it is then it is any bodies guess as to what it actually is?? Whilst I am not a Veterinarian, I have been working in this industry for over 15 years and have done a lot of research into appropriate dietary and nutritional requirements for dogs, so please take this information on board and do some more investigating of your own to ensure you are feeding your dog the diet they deserve. Having said that, I deal with a lot of dog owners whose dogs have considerable behaviour problems, a lot of which stem from a poor diet that, once they change to a BARF based diet, along with some Behavioural Modification plans, makes a huge difference. I\'ve also rectified one of my own dogs IBD by switching for poor quality kibble diet to a 100% BARF based diet. There is a 2nd part to this video so please watch them both together. I hope you find the videos informative and if you have any questions about the information contained here in or would like some additional advice about this, please feel free to contact us to discuss. www.thecanineclassroom.com.au www.facebook.com/thecanineclassroom www.twitter.com/canineclassroom'
