'So this Singapore noodles stall has a rather interesting name. As you can see in our video, the signboard reads \"Jalan Tua Kong Lau Lim Mee Pok -The Art of Mee Pok\". Bold name, but being a regular patron here, I say they certainly live up to its name (#NotSponsored but please feel free to reach out to me.) Apparently, they are surrounded by rivals too, each claiming to be the OG of mee pok in this Simpang Bedok area. But this is the only stall that I will be trying today in this video. Anyway, \"Mee Pok\" refers to the flat, yellow egg noodles that are being used in this dish, and it\'s often interchangeable with \"Mee Kia\" (thin yellow noodles), \"Kway Teow\" (flat rice noodles), and other types of noodles. The fishballs noodles here are typically tossed in a mixture of sambal chili, lard, and/or shallot oil to give it a lip-smacking flavor. You might mistake this for another popular style of Singapore noodles, Bak Chor Mee, simply because of the appearance, but they are hardly the same. The latter uses vinegar, while fishball noodles usually don\'t. That is until someone starts doing it lol The bowl of Mee Pok (fishball noodles, I reiterate) you see today was $6 for a medium-size -- relatively expensive when you compared to how they\'re often sold for around $3 to $5, but this comes with plenty of ingredients, even prawns!
