'This video was filmed on March 6th, 2020. We are currently at home in Canada in Isolation as of the release of this video. Please do your part and stay home. Be safe everyone! After a year of planning and anticipating, we finally arrived in India, our taste buds fully prepared for the ensuing masala onslaught and rich, delicious flavours that the country is known for. Our first order of business - explore Old Delhi and seek out the the best food, and enjoy the amazing environment that can only be found in and around Old Delhi and Chandni Chowk! A special shout out to our amazing tour guide, @outdoorsman_o on Instagram! Our video is not explicitly a food tour, but visiting Old Delhi and not eating tons of different delicious Indian dishes - from fried paneer, stuffed paratha, and of course Pani Puri (which we ate super soggy versions of in Toronto in the summer of 2019) is just not possible. What we discovered on the tour, however, was beyond delicious food. We discovered that the city of 28 million people was not simply overcrowded and chaotic, as was previously advertised to us, but was surprisingly peaceful. The city is full of quiet pockets to unwind from the busy city around you. These places come in different forms - some as mosques, temples, and other places of worship, and others as green spaces with historical buildings unique to the city of Delhi and India in general. This city certainly can feel overwhelming at times, but there are tons of places to escape it all, even if just for a few moments. Delhi is an incredible and diverse city that we really enjoyed visiting. We filmed 2 more videos in New Delhi, along with some pretty impressive sights and of course, more delicious food. More videos to come soon! Leave us a comment and let us know where we should visit first in India (once we are able to travel again) and what foods we have to try. Project 2020 (our travel vlog series) is unfortunately suspended for the foreseeable future! Our creative spirits are alive and well, so subscribe for ongoing content and please, stay safe! ________________________ WHO ARE WE? We are a couple of full-time travel dreamers who decided to pack up our lives in search of what makes us happy: culture, food, and travel! Since starting to travel together a few years ago, we always dream of the next adventure. We always look for the beauty in each place we visit, and are passionate about documenting the amazing, spontaneous adventures that happen along the way. We desire to blend our passion for travel and for filmmaking, in order to share our experiences, the delicious food that we eat, the beautiful cultures that we find, and the friendly people we meet along the way. As the resolution to the pandemic draws closer, so too does our plans of restarting our travels. Subscribe for more adventure to come! __________________ US: Inquires: richandkirsten7@gmail.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/richandkirsten __________________ Bored?
