'Get my memory tips here https://memorycourse.brainathlete.com/memorytips/ Instagram: @brainathlete Get my free memory tips here https://memorycourse.brainathlete.com/memorytips In this video I talk about my favorite brain foods for boosting memory and brain function. What are the best brain foods? The truth is there are quite a few to chose from. But for this list I have boiled it down to what are my top brain foods and I hope you like my choices. One of the easiest brain foods for anyone to get is water. A dehydrated brain can\'t focus and this is why water is such and easy and great brain food. Turmeric is another great brain food and is found in curry often. It has an ingredient curcumin that is the key ingredient in benefiting brain function. India has one of the lowest rates of Alzheimer\'s in the world and part of the reason is thought to be the turmeric. Green tea is a stimulate for the brain in part because of the caffeine. Kale is an excellent source of so many vitamins and have as much vitamin C as oranges. It is a great brain food and one you can easily get when ordering a salad. Eggs sometimes get a bad rap because of the cholesterol but eggs are one of the best sources of choline which is necessary for the brain. Your brain also requires cholesterol and that is why eggs are a great brain food. 2-6 eggs per week is recommended. My all time favorite brain food is without a doubt avocados. I love avocados because of their taste and I could eat 5 a day. But because they are high in calories 1/4 to 1/2 a day is recommended. But these are great sources of mono saturated fats. For all the chocolate lovers out there you will be thrilled to find that chocolate is a brain food. Specifically the cacao in chocolate is known to benefit the brain and memory. Apples are one of my favorite foods because they make me feel full without eating many calories but they are much more than just a weight management food they are a brain food. Their antioxidant properties are beneficial to the brain as well as the acetylcholine. Another great source of antioxidants is blue berries and this makes them one of the best brain and memory foods. Blueberries are known to fight against anxiety, depression and even brain fog. Your brain is like any other part of your body, the better you treat it through good nutrition and exercise the better it will work for you. I do believe memory training systems such as the mind palace or memory palace are the best for seeing massive gains in memory. However, brain foods do play a role in memory. The sharper your brain is because of nutrition the better the memory systems such as the mind palace will work for you because the better you will be able to concentrate. There are TED Talks on improving memory and brain power and I think these suggestions are worthy of any Ted talk on memory improvement.
