'Cruising to Lose Weight   Ever wonder if you can lose weight being on a cruise ship?  Join me as I cruise and share my daily progress in the search to the answer, can you lose weight on a cruise ship? #cruisingtoloseweight  It’s been well documented that you will put on 5-25 pounds on a average 7 day cruise. The availability of food at every turn is just too tempting. The inability to distance your meals far enough apart, rich and calorie intense options just adds to the problem.   Buffett lines, specialty restaurants, calorie rich deserts, alcohol, inactivity and late night buffets and room service make it just so easy to eat, eat and eat til you can’t eat anymore and then you eat again, even when you body doesn’t need to eat to.  There is a way to enjoy the cruise, eat sensibly and return home after the cruise and without spending the next 2 months trying to burn off those meals you had while on board.  My Background Story:  I started my weight loss journey on May 1, 2022 when I tipped the scales at 371 lbs. A big part of the weight gain was due to being on insulin for my Type 2 diabetes. I have stopped taking the insulin and have been trying several weight alternatives such as Intermittent Fasting.  I found Dr Jason Fung on YouTube (link below) and tried it and it worked. I started easy by fasting 12, 14, 16 and 23 hrs and 2-3 day fasts. I see big time results and do not go to the gym or run but instead I eliminated SUGARS which are in just about everything these days, especially processed foods.   As of 11/17/22, I weigh 286.5!   That’s 84.5 lbs, to date!   My goal?  To weigh 200 by my 1 yr anniversary of starting this journey, May 1, 2023.   My secret?  Basically, if any food packages have a bar code, I stay away from it. I stay away from pastas, breads, sugars, snacks and anything you can purchase on the inside rows at the grocery stores.  I eat whole organic foods, free roaming products (eggs and chicken), grass fed meats, organic veggies, organic products and non bar code foods which are found in the outside walls at the grocery stores.  My goal is be off all medications that control my blood sugars, blood pressure by getting to my goal weight if 200 by May 1,2023.  I have over 20 cruises planned in the next year so this will be a ongoing series of Vlogs I will be posting on YouTube.  Like and Subscribe to follow along with me in thus journey.
