'Welcome to Me Being Cheap! Food preservation is a must if you want to save money. Put up extra of what is available while it is in season. If I had to buy pecans from a grocery store each time I needed them, I would be spending a lot more money that what I did. I bought some pecans from our local pecan patch plus had a bunch given to me by a friend. I put up a total of 30 pints, so that gives me a little over two jars/month until the nuts come into season again next year. I multi-tasked by cracking out the nuts while watching TV. Thanks for watching!'
